Engine Control Unit

The Engine Control Module (ECM) is also known as the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or the Engine Control Unit (ECU).

The main responsiblity of this controllers is to get information from sensors and run certain actuators. In the case of any errors arising the ECU shows a check engine light on your dashboard.
